Collectible village piece is made by The Cat's Meow. The back reads: Built by the Shakers in Shirley, MA in 1793. Moved in 1962 to to the site of the original, nearly identical, 1786 Hancock Meetinghouse. Front doors served as separate entrances for Brothers and Sisters. Doors on each end served the Ministry's living quarters on the second floor. Measures 5 3/4" x 4 3/8". Made in the USA. Collect them all! -
This collectible village piece is made by The Cat's Meow. The back reads: A unique dairy barn built in 1826 that stabled "a span of horses & 52 horned cattle". Built of rough stone slabs, the walls are 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 feet thick. Two stories in height and 96 feet in diameter, with the great mow in the center. Measures 6 3/8" x 4 1/4". Made in the USA. Our latest piece, added to our collection in 2020, this collectible village piece is made by The Cat's Meow. The back reads: Business-minded Shaker Brothers and Sisters served their communal family as Trustees. They lived in the Trustees' Office and were responsible for all of the community's business transactions. Here, outsiders from "the World" placed orders for goods, and guests of the village dined and lodged. This building was built in the early 19th century and underwent significant renovations in 1852 and 1895. The "Victorianization" of the building in 1895 was intended to make visitors feel more comfortable. Measures 6 1/2" x 4 1/4". Made in the USA. Collect them all! -
